Bubble bath, shmubble bath. Here’s something better


Do you feel like you might be getting sick? Are you feeling run down? Tired? Stressed out? Or do you just want to give yourself a nice little treat? It might be time for a detox bath.


Try this recipe:

  • 1/2 cup ground ginger root
  • 1 cup Bentonite clay
  • 1 cup Himalayan salt

Mix ingredients and place them in a glass jar. Use 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of the mixture in your bath. Use a loofah made of natural fibers or a cotton wash cloth to stimulate your skin for better results. Soak for 20-30 minutes, and rinse at the end.

Why these herbs? The ginger helps promote sweating in the body while the Bentonite clay assists in the detoxification process.  In fact, the clay actually works like a magnet with toxins. While the toxins carry positive electrons, Bentonite clay carries negative electrons. This means the toxins are actually attracted to and pulled inside the clay molecule. Lastly the Himalayan salt is rich in minerals so it helps the body relax stiff muscles and nourish the skin.  It is also known to assist the body in detoxifying.
